Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
The short version
We collect only what you tell us on the waitlist form, plus basic technical details, so we can invite you when Ahadi opens. Your waitlist details are never shown to other people, never sold, and never used for advertising. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Who we are
Ahadi is a product of Bridgetree Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Kenya and based in Nairobi (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the information described here, and we handle it in line with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.
This policy covers the Ahadi waitlist at ahadilove.co.ke. Before the Ahadi app opens we will publish an updated policy covering profiles, matching and verification, and we will ask for your agreement before collecting anything new.
What we collect
| Details you give us | First name, WhatsApp number, whether you are a woman or a man, age range, profession, town, and optionally your email address and church or denomination. |
|---|---|
| Invite details | A random invite code we create for you, the code of the person who invited you (if any), and how many people joined with your code. |
| Technical details | Your IP address, browser type, the page that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you used (for example, which advert or post you came from). |
Your church or denomination is optional. Because it reveals your religious beliefs, the law treats it as sensitive personal data. We only collect it if you choose to give it, and we only use it to plan communities and introductions. Leave it blank if you prefer.
How we use it
- To contact you on WhatsApp, SMS or email about early access and launch dates
- To plan which towns, age groups and churches to open first, and to keep a healthy balance of women and men
- To count invitations, so members who invite friends can be let in sooner
- To prevent spam and fake sign-ups
We do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, or show them to anyone outside the Ahadi team. Nothing you enter on the waitlist is visible to other members or to the public.
Why we are allowed to use it
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time, as described below. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Where your details are kept
- Our server. Waitlist sign-ups are saved on a Bridgetree server hosted by Contabo in the European Union.
- Google Workspace. A copy is kept in a Google Sheet that only the Ahadi team can open.
- Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from abuse, so it processes your IP address when you visit.
- WhatsApp. When we message you, or when you use the “Invite a friend” button, WhatsApp (Meta) processes those messages under its own privacy policy. Invite links contain only your random invite code, never your name or number.
Some of these services store data outside Kenya. We only use providers that apply strong security and data protection safeguards, and we limit what they receive to what is needed for the purposes above.
How we keep it safe
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to waitlist data is limited to the people who run Ahadi, and our server and Google accounts are protected by strong passwords and restricted access.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until you join Ahadi or ask us to remove them. If you have not joined within 12 months of Ahadi opening in your town, we delete them.
Cookies
The waitlist page does not use cookies or advertising trackers. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
Age
Ahadi is for adults aged 30 and over. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18, and we will delete them if we find out we have.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to:
- be told how your details are used (this policy)
- get a copy of the details we hold about you
- have wrong details corrected
- have your details deleted
- object to us using them, or withdraw your consent
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your WhatsApp number so we know the request is really from you. If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you have already given us, we will tell you on WhatsApp or by email first.
